  • Skiing for all abilities
  • Plenty of activities and amenities

3 Valleys Information

The Three Valleys has the swankiest resorts in the Alps at one end, and the highest at the other making it the biggest lift-linked ski area in the world. The four major resorts in the 3 Valleys are Courchevel (in the Easternmost valley), Meribel (in the Central), Les Menuires and Val Thorens (in the westerly one). None of them are cheap resorts due to their international status but Les Menuires is clearly the best value for money. The Three Vallees is a vast, snow-sure ski area, which offers over 600km of lift and piste linked terrain with over 2,000 snow cannons. A keen skier or boarder could cover huge areas, rarely taking the same run twice which makes for an exhilarating holiday. In terms of quantity of connected skiing, there is nowhere like it.

The slopes provide for all, with areas ranging from safe accessible beginner’s slopes, perfectly groomed pistes, tree-lined runs, moguls, steeps or a real off-piste adventure, and each resort in the 3 Valleys has something to offer. Each resort also has a huge range of activities and facilities to check out once you are off the pistes. There are also a good range of après ski bars and night clubs across the Three Valleys, although some resorts are livelier than others. If a quieter holiday is for you then many resorts offer spas and swimming pools to relax in and forget the worries of life back home.

Eating out in the Three Valleys offers an exciting variety of choices. Exhilarate your taste buds fine dining at any of the 11 Michelin starred restaurants (with 19 stars between them and the most amount of Michelin star restaurants of any mountains) scattered across the 3 Valleys, or have a simple good value meal, and try tartiflette or Mountain burgers by the side of the pistes.

The 3 Vallees Cafe (a premium cafe at the entrance to the ski area) is located opposite Moutiers train station. It is the first and last stop for visitors traveling through the area.
